Case Study

One foundation for every property expansion

For nine years, Osage Casino Hotel — Ponca City has built on the same LUCI foundation, from the original installation to the ballroom, Swallows, and Swigs. It is part of a broader Osage relationship that began in Tulsa and now spans six properties.

The challenge

Ponca City’s disconnected A/V technology was difficult to manage.

The approach

Install LUCI software and minimal hardware to bring all of their technology under one platform.

The result

The casino floor, ballroom, Swallows, Swigs, and every endpoint across the property now run under one LUCI standard.

Where the relationship started

Casino technology rarely becomes complicated because of one project. It becomes complicated as each new room, remodel, and system arrives with its own controls, vendors, and operating logic.

LUCI’s partnership with Osage started with the Tulsa casino location, where Osage wanted to remove this kind of complexity from their A/V system from the first day of construction. Because of the success they achieved in Tulsa, Osage brought LUCI into the Ponca City property.

Ponca City is a smaller Osage property in northern Oklahoma, and over nine years it has become the clearest example of what a single LUCI foundation can support. Ponca City had similar problems to Tulsa, but with plans to remodel a few restaurants and install additional LED endpoints. Instead of layering new technology on top each time, Osage plugs new endpoints, hardware, and software directly into LUCI, where they manage it all from one place. Four phases tell that story.

Four phases. One platform.

  1. The LUCI install

The original Ponca City installation put LUCI’s orchestration engine at the center of the property’s A/V operation. Rather than leave each endpoint and supporting system to operate separately, LUCI connected them through one software environment. The property team could operate the casino floor through one interface while LUCI coordinated the systems behind it. That became the operating standard every later phase would extend.

  2. The ballroom

Once LUCI was running the casino floor, Osage began asking for the same kind of control in its ballrooms. LUCI listened. Rather than treat the request as a one-property exception, the team developed a repeatable solution that brought ballroom projectors and controls into the same LUCI environment, then deployed it across four Osage properties. At Ponca City, that work established the pattern the next phases would repeat: when Osage added a new kind of space, LUCI expanded with it.

  3. Swallows

Swallows was the first of two new restaurant LED walls — roughly 18 feet wide by 9 feet tall. LUCI built the wall itself, then plugged it into LUCI so it easily joined the rest of the casino. The new wall, video sources, and audio zones run from the same environment already managing the casino floor and ballroom.

  4. Swigs

Swigs is a bar and live-entertainment venue with a nearly 20-foot LED canvas. LUCI installed and integrated the wall, so the new LED, video, and audio joined the platform already running the property. The room came online with four operating presets, seven independent video sources, and two new audio zones. The property team can run one full canvas, two seven-screen layouts, or a featured center image with supporting content on the outer sections.

Consolidation you can see

On fight night, one operator can set Swigs for the main event, switch Swallows to a sports layout, and bring the ballroom online — all from one screen. Across the property, that means:

  • One foundation across nine years

The original installation established the software and control foundation that each later phase extended.

  • No separate ballroom control system

The ballroom’s projectors and controls run from the LUCI platform instead of a standalone control system brought in for the room.

  • No new LED vendor for Swallows or Swigs

Both restaurant LED walls were built and integrated by LUCI, so the new LED, video, and audio joined the property’s existing LUCI environment.

  • 98 endpoints under one standard

The casino floor, ballroom, Swallows, Swigs, and every endpoint across the property now run through one LUCI environment.

What the relationship made possible

Since then, LUCI has also expanded into Osage’s Bartlesville, Pawhuska, Sand Springs, and Skiatook casino locations — a 10+ year relationship that now spans six properties.

The Osage + LUCI partnership continues

With a firm partnership in place and the LUCI software available to flex with any changes at any property, Osage is well-positioned for all future expansion and renovation plans. As the company grows, LUCI makes it easy to:

  • Keep operations consistent. Staff manage new rooms, displays, video sources, and audio zones through the same LUCI interface they already use.
  • Carry property knowledge into each project. LUCI plans the work using each property’s infrastructure, system configuration, and operating requirements.
  • Keep one team accountable. LUCI handles design, installation, programming, staff training, and ongoing support.
